It was a tapestry of creativity, expanding on previous years’ focus on craftsmanship, sustainability, and whimsy with the exciting addition of a “global fusion” category at this year’s Afri art and fashion show

Held at Motiv in Kampala, the fashion show organized by Trillion Looks Store ran under the theme, ‘Celebrating timeless beauty.’

“ In this year’s show designers  showcased haute couture designs, sustainable fashion products from back cloth and also used second hand fashion products to design new creations,” said Cerinah Nalwoga Kasirye, the founder of Trillion Looks Store.

She added that this year’s show also  saw a number of designers make their debut on runways including Leticia Naginda , Mathilda Kigozi, Hasphat Kagoya and Adam Sentumbwe.

“If we are to redefine the fashion industry, in Uganda, we ought to create platforms for  creative designers to show off their craft, talent and skill and the Afri art and fashion show plays a vital role in redefining the fashion industry in Uganda,” she said.
