But in a breathtaking turn of events, the Pirates launched a remarkable comeback, scoring four consecutive tries within a span of just 20 minutes.

The crowd was left in disbelief as the Pirates turned the tide, clinching the match with a final try that sealed their victory.

Diana Kahunde, the Marketing Manager for Personal and Private Banking at Stanbic Bank, expressed elation at the Pirates’ performance.

“Trailing 9-31 at halftime and converting to 33-31 is phenomenal. The Pirates’ unwavering spirit, resilience, and ferocious second-half assault against the Heathens will go down in history,” she stated.

Marvin Odongo, head coach of the Stanbic Black Pirates, described the victory as more than just a win; it was a declaration of their intent in the league.

“This victory means a lot to us and leaves us on top of the table, something we are committed to maintaining. We managed to win this game because of team spirit and our undying hunger for success,” Odongo remarked.
