Mubaje emphasizes honesty in Islamic propagation
The Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, has provided valuable advice to Islamic propagators, emphasizing the importance of adopting the best approaches in their work.
He highlighted that their role extends beyond spreading the faith to also "inculcating sublime values" within the communities they serve.

Sheikh Mubaje stressed the significance of embodying values such as exemplary behavior, strong work ethics, honesty, sincerity, peace, harmony, and politeness as part of conveying the divine message.
His message was delivered by Sheikh Imran Ssali, Secretary for Religious Affairs at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC).
Addressing Islamic propagators who had gathered for a four-day event organized by their association, Markaz Uganda, at Masjid Makki in Bweya, Kajjansi, off Entebbe Highway, the Mufti expressed his honor in addressing the annual Ijtima (gathering).
"It is a great honor to address you at this annual Ijtima a gathering that strengthens our unity and renews our commitment to our noble mission of inviting humanity towards the path of Almighty Allah,”he said.
Sheikh Mubaje further emphasised that the mission of Islamic propagation goes beyond spreading the faith and includes upholding and promoting these core values.
The event, which ran from August 14 to Sunday, August 18, 2024, has attracted participants from various countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
Additional remarks were made by Sheikh Muhammad Murshid Luwemba, UMSC Secretary for Dawah (Islamic Propagation). The gathering included District Kadhis from Mbale, Karamoja, Kibuku, and Kalangala Muslim Districts, as well as County Sheikhs and many prominent Sheikhs and Imams.
Sheikh Ssali and Sheikh Luwemba were given a guided tour of the association's mosque and offices by the leaders, including Sheikh Swaleh Mubiru, the Imam, among others.
