Rwandan President Paul Kagame has appointed Justin Nsengiyumva as the country's new Prime Minister, replacing Édouard Ngirente, who has served in the role since 2017.

The announcement was made on Wednesday evening in a statement from the Office of the President, marking a significant reshuffle in the country's executive leadership.

Until his appointment, Nsengiyumva was serving as Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Rwanda.
