The sensational and highly rocking musician Ykee Benda has boldly pulled out of the annually held Hipipo Musical Awards and asked the organisers to stop nominating him.
The awards are to be held on March 17, 2018 at Serena Hotel.
Benda took to his social media accounts and asked his staunch fans to totally and absolutely ignore anything concerning the Hipipo Awards.
"My fans don't waste your time. Wherever you see or come across Hipipo Awards and your a true Ykee fan 'awo yitawo buyisi' meaning just bypass that nonsense", Benda wrote on his social media platforms.
"And please stop nominating me", he added.
Ykee Benda has joined a long list of Ugandan artists who have dishonoured local awards.
All this started at the start of this year when these very awards were nicked named "Bebe Cool" awards after he had scooped a number of them something that left a sour taste in his mouth of other artistes.
