Muyingo noted that people's  involvement in wealth creation will ensure that all suggested programmes reflect those things that are important to them.

"If you want to eradicate poverty in your households, devise all the possible legal means to generate income and minimise expenses other than spending extravagantly," he said.

He advised the people to stop marrying many wives and giving birth to many children because it will only increase their daily expenses.

"I am not saying that marrying two wives is bad  and even giving birth to many children is not bad in our society but if it is leading to an increase in expenses, then you must stop so that we  fight poverty in our households," he said.

He encouraged the locals to actively participate in all activities which can help to diversify their income such as trade as a path out of poverty.
