The 6th edition of the Corporate Games Uganda took place on Sunday, July 7th-2019, at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole-the home of Corporate Games.
More corporate games keep on being introduced day by the day and Sunday saw the introduction of another corporate sport called corporate cycling.
Talking about corporate cycling, Fiduga Limited were the overall winners of the women’s cycling competition. Mengo hospital, Mandela National Stadium and SCD Darling finished second, third and fourth respectively.
The men’s corporate cycling game saw SCD Darling become the first winners of the inaugural game. Royal van Zanteen came second as Mandela National Stadium and Ministry of Finance finished third and fourth respectively.
As the culture is, an aerobics session kicked off the day as teams warmed up for the day's activities.
In the sixth outing, there were only three categories of games played. Football, Cycling and athletics.
The chairman corporate Games Rumanyika Ian said, "We are building a healthy corporate family, we want to see more people out of their offices."
We are creating an fun filled environment where employees from different institutions meet, team build, network and keep fit.
He also added that, "As corporate games we shall continue to inspire corporates through giving them a variety of games to include everyone."
We kicked of the footballing exercise to an exciting game between Mengo and EFC which saw the former thump six goals past the Financial Centre.
