The 2019 Masaza Royal Regatta final due at Nabugabo sand beach on 8th June 2019 has received a major boost towards the newly introduced treasure hunt.

Pearls Seeds is the latest on that front with mobile phone handsets.

“We have adhered to the Kabaka’s call and we have decided to boost this weekend’s game by providing some prizes,” said Cliff-Richards Masagazzi, an official at Pearl Seeds.

Pearl Seeds join Star Times that handed over a 32-inch television set which is the biggest prize in the treasure hunt category.

The treasure hunt is principally open to fans and will be tasked to search for pieces of paper on which is written what one will receive from organizers and handed over by the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II who is expected to grace the occasion.

Pearl Seeds official Cliff-Richard Masagazzi says they went for mobile phones in order to support the key element of communication amongst the subjects of Buganda.

Masaza Royal Regatta local organizing committee chairperson Ben Immanuel Misagga detailed the progress thus far with optimism.

“All 18 counties have confirmed participation in the annual-do and we have a lot of prizes for the winners,” he said

“Members of the winning team will have a chance of joining Uganda's elite group of life-savers in liaison with officials of swim-safe that have given an all clear for safety on the water while various security agencies will offer protection to the king's subjects.”

On top of the entertainment on the water, many prominent artistes including Winnie Nwagi, Jose Chameleone and Fik Fameica are lined up to entertain the fans.
