State Minister for Finance, Henry Musasizi has pledged to prioritise household income growth and livelihood improvement after taking oath as Member of Parliament for Rubanda East for the 2026–2031 term.
Speaking shortly after the swearing-in ceremony, Musasizi said he was honoured and humbled by the trust placed in him by the people of Rubanda East.
“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Rubanda County East for trusting me with this great responsibility. Your support, prayers, and votes mean the world to me, and I promise to work tirelessly to serve you and uplift our community,” Musasizi said.
The State Minister of Finance said his immediate focus would be on expanding livelihood opportunities and supporting income-generating activities aimed at improving household earnings across the constituency.
Musasizi also applauded Yoweri Museveni and the NRM leadership for their continued support.
He further called upon leaders and residents of Rubanda East to work together toward the development of the constituency and the country.
“I want to call on residents to allow us leaders to work for them during these five years,” he added.
Musasizi has served as the Member of Parliament for Rubanda East since 2011.
