According to a statement from the bank, Robert Mpuuga, Head of Treasury at Exim Bank Uganda, led the handover of the items, noting that the gesture is part of the institution’s ongoing Exim Cares initiative.

The programme is designed to support vulnerable communities, particularly during significant periods such as Ramadan.

Mpuuga said the bank remains committed to standing with communities beyond its core financial services, especially during moments that call for solidarity and compassion.

He noted that Ramadan presents an opportunity for institutions to give back and ease the burden on families observing the fast.

Exim Bank Uganda, a subsidiary of Exim Bank Tanzania, has in recent years expanded its corporate social responsibility footprint across the country, focusing on community welfare, financial inclusion, and humanitarian support.

The bank has positioned the Exim Cares initiative as a key pillar of its engagement strategy, through which it partners with religious and community institutions to deliver assistance where it is most needed.

Leaders at Masjid Noor welcomed the donation, describing it as timely support that will benefit Muslim families in Kamwokya as they conclude the holy month of Ramadan and prepare for Eid celebrations.

The outreach reflects a broader trend among financial institutions in Uganda increasingly integrating social responsibility into their operations, particularly through faith-based and community-centred programmes.
