Kasambya County has marked a major step forward in improving education infrastructure with the groundbreaking ceremony for the rehabilitation of four blocks at Kasambya DAS Primary School.

The project, valued at shs 200 million, is expected to significantly enhance the school’s learning environment and service delivery.

The ceremony was presided over by the Assistant Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Kasambya County, Solomon Misindi , who officially handed over the site to contractors. He emphasized the need for quality workmanship and accountability, urging contractors to deliver value for money.

“This project will not only improve the physical outlook of the school but also create a conducive learning environment for our children. We expect quality work that reflects the government’s investment,” Misindi said.

He commended the central government for providing funding under the Transitional Development Education Adhoc arrangement, noting that the intervention comes at a critical time when the school has long required renovation.

Kassanda District LCV Chairperson, Michael Ntambi Muhereza , also welcomed the development, describing it as the beginning of a broader transformation for the school.

“These four blocks mark the start of a transformation journey. We will continue to lobby for more funding to expand infrastructure and further improve learning conditions,” he said.
