Buganda Kingdom Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga has congratulated Archbishop Samuel Kajoba upon his appointment as the new head of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Uganda, urging strengthened collaboration between the Kingdom and religious leadership.
The message was delivered on his behalf by Second Deputy Katikkiro and Kingdom Treasurer Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa during the installation ceremony held at the headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Najjanankumbi.
In his message, Mayiga emphasized the longstanding relationship between Buganda Kingdom and religious institutions across the country, noting that faith-based leadership plays a critical role in shaping society.

We promise Ssaabalabirizi our full cooperation in promoting the welfare of our people, preserving unity and peace in the nation, and elevating the stature of the Kingdom,” the message read.
Archbishop Samuel Kajoba becomes the ninth Archbishop of the SDA Church in Uganda, succeeding Dr. Moses Maka Ndimukika.
His appointment marks a new chapter for the church’s leadership as it continues its spiritual and community work across the country.
The installation ceremony drew religious leaders, church members and invited guests, reflecting the significance of the transition within one of Uganda’s established Christian denominations.
Buganda Kingdom officials reiterated their commitment to working closely with faith institutions in advancing moral guidance, social cohesion and development initiatives within the Kingdom and beyond.
