“Politics must give way to performance. Our task is to consolidate the gains of government and translate manifesto commitments into tangible improvements in the lives of our people,” she said.

The workshop brought together RDCs, RCCs, their deputies, and intelligence officers, including RISOs and DISOs, from across West Nile.

Babalanda highlighted that the new National Resistance Movement (NRM) manifesto represents a social contract with Ugandans, focusing on wealth creation, industrialisation, value addition, job creation, and human capital development.

She stressed that RDCs, as representatives of the Presidency, play a critical role in ensuring these commitments deliver real results.

She noted that under President Museveni, West Nile has experienced significant transformation and is now fully integrated into the national development agenda.

Babalanda urged officials to safeguard and expand these gains, calling them custodians of government progress at the grassroots.

The minister emphasised discipline, professionalism, integrity, impartiality, and accountability as key principles for building public trust in government institutions.

She instructed RDCs to regularly inspect schools, health facilities, roads, water projects, and other public investments to ensure proper use of government funds and effective service delivery.

Babalanda said effective oversight, teamwork, and transparency will strengthen confidence in government and ensure that citizens see tangible improvements in their daily lives.
