The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has appointed Brigadier General Jackson Pande Kajubi as the new commander of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Armoured Division in Masaka.
He replaces Major General Deus Sande, who passed away yesterday after suffering severe breathing complications.

In a related move, Colonel Wilson Bagonza Rwakanara of the Special Forces Command (SFC) has been promoted to Brigadier General and appointed Deputy Commander of the Armoured Division.
Both appointments take immediate effect.
The announcements were made by Col Chris Magezi, acting director of public information at the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs.
