For parents, the campaign offers a wide range of financial tools — including instant school fee payments via *240#, the dfcu QuickApp, or in-branch services.

Those facing urgent needs can access a MobiLoan of up to Shs 2 million, or use dfcu Credit Cards with up to 50 days of interest-free spending. The bank is also offering personal loans of up to Shs 250 million for long-term plans, as well as Education Savings Accounts and Junior’s Medical Insurance.

“It's a full package designed to cover immediate expenses and long-term security for families,” Katemba added.

Schools are not left out. The Ku Mapeesa campaign extends support to institutions through Bridge Financing of up to Shs 500 million at competitive interest rates, with approvals delivered within 48 hours. The offer also includes loan buyouts, vehicle and asset financing, and insurance coverage for school property, students, and assets.

Parents and schools can also take advantage of dfcu’s partnership with digital payment platforms such as SchoolPay, SurePay, and PegPay — ensuring fast, secure, and trackable transactions.

“Parents don’t need to queue in banks or carry cash. With these platforms, payments are quick, safe, and convenient, cutting down on stress during the high-traffic season,” Katemba noted.

Beyond families and schools, the campaign also caters to small and medium business owners who supply schools with books, uniforms, and scholastic materials. Through access to business financing, dfcu aims to help these suppliers restock and meet the high demand during the back-to-school period.

“The back-to-school season is a high-pressure period for all stakeholders in education. Ku Mapeesa provides financial flexibility and digital convenience, ensuring smoother preparations for everyone involved,” Katamba emphasised.

With this campaign, dfcu Bank positions itself not just as a financial institution, but as a partner in the education ecosystem helping Ugandan families, schools, and businesses stay ready for the future.
