Quoting the party constitution, Kabuleta said Article 80 stipulates that a person shall cease to be a member of NEED upon death, resigning, upon acquiring membership of another political party or organization in the country, or being expected from the party by the National Executive Committee.

“I also want to say that if any members of our executive committee try to forge an alliance with another political party without the express permission of the whole party, or the whole executive committee headed and convened by myself, then those people will have gone to that party in their individual capacity. Therefore, they too will be considered to have defected, and they too will be expelled from the party.”

He warned that NEED is not planning to go into any alliance with any other party , adding that if it is to be done, it has to be endorse by the National Executive Committee.
