The State Minister for Minerals, Phiona Nyamutoro has described her victory in the NRM primaries in Nebbi as history made.
"We made history with the highest number of votes ever registered by any candidate in the history of Nebbi politics,"said Nyamutoro in a post on her social media.
Nyamutoro, who is currently the National Female Youth MP won the NRM flag as the Nebbi Woman MP.
Commenting about her win, she laid down her plan ahead of the 2026 polls.
"We shall work tirelessly to ensure your trust yields fruits. Grateful to everyone for all the overwhelming love and support."
Nyamutoro’s husband, and singer, Edirisa Musuuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo hailed her for the win.
"Nebbi has spoken—90% for Honourable Nyamutoro. Congratulations, our Nyamutoro. Thank you everyone for your prayers. Nebbi, you have chosen the right person. Asante sana," he said on social media.
