President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to resume his nationwide Wealth Creation and Parish Development Model (PDM) monitoring tours this week, with Wakiso District next on the agenda.
The tours are scheduled to kick off on Monday, July 7th, and will run throughout the week.
The President's visit to Wakiso will focus on key development pillars, including; inspection of Skilling Hubs aimed at equipping youth and women with practical, income-generating skills, assessment of Emyooga SACCOs and how they are supporting micro-enterprises, engagements with local farmers and agribusiness groups benefiting from PDM funds, launches of infrastructure projects critical for improving access to markets, services and public rallies and community dialogues designed to spread awareness on job creation, mindset change, and inclusive economic transformation.
The tour is part of a broader national effort to deepen service delivery at the grassroots and accelerate Uganda’s goal of full monetization of the economy, especially in rural areas.
President Museveni is expected to meet local leaders, youth groups, farmers, and beneficiaries of government programmes, while also addressing gaps and offering real-time solutions to implementation challenges.
The Wealth Creation & PDM tours underscore the government’s commitment to lifting millions of Ugandans out of subsistence and placing them on a path to sustainable development and shared prosperity.
