Salam TV and Salam Charity Managing Director, Hajji Karim Kaliisa, recently stopped over in Mbale for Salam Jumah, where he inspected the progress of the Nakaloke Centre Mosque project. The project, spearheaded by Salam Charity, has received significant support from the Muslim community and partners in Mbale, including BCU and the Mpogo Islamic Centre Director.
During his visit, Hajji Kaliisa successfully mobilized over 15 million Ugandan shillings from the community and partners. The director thanked the Muslim community for their contributions, highlighting Salam Charity's commitment to developing Muslims nationwide. "We must work together to build Nakaloke Centre Mosque."
Hajji Kaliisa cited several successful projects completed by Salam Charity without external donors, including: Lukaaku Qur'an School, Nyamitanga Madrast Noor, Masjid Ndejje, Bukiimu Mosque, Masjid Mbogo Kawempe, Masjid Kabasanda, and many others.
Salam Charity is now prioritizing Katakwi, where Muslims face significant challenges, including praying in grass-thatched mosques and limited access to clean water. A recent survey by Salam Charity revealed alarming conditions in Katakwi, with most residents lacking necessities. Hajji Kaliisa has called upon everyone to join hands with Salam Charity to support the construction of mosques, schools, and water facilities in the area
While focusing on Katakwi, Salam Charity will continue to monitor and support its ongoing projects, including the Nakaloke Centre Mosque. With a collective effort, the charity is confident that the multi-billion Nakaloke Centre Mosque will be completed, serving as a symbol of community unity and development.
