Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is set to host the highly anticipated "PSFU NextGen" mentorship program on December 5, 2024, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
This unique platform aims to equip young Ugandan entrepreneurs with the practical tools and insights needed to navigate the challenging yet rewarding world of business.
Through targeted mentorship, participants will gain the skills to start, grow, and sustain businesses that not only transform lives but also contribute significantly to Uganda’s economic growth.
Speaking about the initiative during the NBS Breakfast Meeting Show, Francis Kisirinya, Chief Membership Officer at PSFU, emphasised its impact:
“At the PSFU NextGen event, young entrepreneurs will learn how to start, grow, and thrive in businesses that impact lives and contribute to economic growth. We ask our members about their biggest needs to succeed in entrepreneurship, and experienced entrepreneurs guide those who are just starting out," he said.
Adding a unique dimension to this year’s event is the collaboration with DFCU Bank, a financial institution that has been a pillar of Uganda’s economy for six decades. Helena Mayanja, Head of Corporate Affairs at DFCU Bank, highlighted their shared vision for Uganda’s future:
" DFCU group has been around for 60 years. We collaborated with the PSFU NextGen platform to support future generations in transforming Uganda’s economy," Mayanja remarked.
The partnership underscores a strong commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and providing access to mentorship, financial literacy, and networks crucial for business success.
The PSFU NextGen program is not just another event but a movement to redefine entrepreneurship in Uganda. From tackling challenges like access to capital to fostering innovation, it bridges the gap between ambition and opportunity.
Young entrepreneurs attending the event will engage directly with seasoned business leaders, unlocking actionable strategies for success.
The program also shines a light on stories of resilience, innovation, and impact, creating a ripple effect that extends beyond individual businesses to the national economy.
