Luttamaguzi Ssemakula has sparked controversy within Uganda’s opposition, openly questioning the allegiance of Mathias Mpuuga in Parliament. In a pointed statement, Luttamaguzi suggested that Mpuuga may not be working in the best interest of the opposition coalition, raising concerns about internal unity.
“Mpuuga should first present his ideas to the Leader of Opposition before discussing them with shadow ministers,”
Luttamaguzi remarked, questioning Mpuuga’s method of leadership. “Who is he working for? We need accountability and transparency within our ranks if we are to offer a united front.”
Luttamaguzi’s comments reflect growing dissatisfaction with how decisions are being handled within the opposition, where some feel that Mpuuga is sidelining key figures or failing to follow proper protocols in the decision-making process.
