Key areas like human development, sanitation, agriculture, and education all saw significant progress thanks to this successful financial management.
Building on this success, the 2024/2025 budget outlines several key focus areas:
- Enhancing Healthcare: The kingdom is committed to improving the health of its people. This includes combating HIV/AIDS, ensuring access to clean water, and completing the construction of three crucial hospitals in Buddu, Ssingo, and Kyaggwe.
- Empowering People, Reducing Poverty: The budget emphasizes initiatives that will directly empower Buganda's residents. Encouraging coffee production, promoting cooperative ventures, and fostering other income-generating activities are all central to the kingdom's poverty reduction strategy.
