Install tracking devices on vehicles for security- Museveni

President Museveni has tasked Ugandans to install tracking devices on their vehicle to ease work for security.

The President made the call during the 29th Heroes day celebrations at Birembo play grounds in Kakumiro District, hours after visiting slain Arua municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga’s home in Kawanda

At around 12 noon President Museveni together with the Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali arrived at the playgrounds.

The president was quick to comment on the gruesome murder of Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga, saying as a mechanism of fighting crime, motorists need to install trackers so that security agencies can follow up in case of eventualities to curb the increasing crime.

The president comforted Ugandans that the security agencies will restore security.

While at the celebrations, a moment of silence was held for the fallen Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga.

While commemorating the heroes day under the theme ‘ “Remembering  Heroes who kept the faith and fought the fight; the duty to enrich their gains is ours” , the president said the blood shed by liberators cannot go in vain.

The president decorated the Ethiopian Prime minister with the Mosh Excellent Order of the Pearl of Africa-The Grand Master), highest medal in Uganda.

Dr. Abiy Ahmed lauded the president for the pacification of Somalia, and also leading Uganda’s liberators.
