UPDF passes out 271 Military Police personnel

The Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) has passed out 271 Military Police personnel who have completed training at the Masindi Training School.

Speaking during the pass out, the deputy commander of the UPDF Land Forces, Maj Gen Francis Takirwa implored the officers to have their country at heart for the continuity of peace and stability, both in the country and beyond.

" You have successfully been trained by competent personnel. Therefore, use the acquired skills and knowledge to protect and love your country. Have your country at heart always.”

He noted that continuous training correlates with perfection when confronting any emerging global threat like terrorism or cyber insecurity.

Speaking at the same graduation, the Commandant Military Police Brig Gen William Bainomugisha commended the UPDF leadership for spearheading the professional agenda through training and improvement of troop welfare, among others.

He implored fresh trainees to often lead by example and give utmost respect to the 'Red tops'.

To the graduates, the commandant of the school congratulated them and called for the preservation of discipline and integrity, as some of the core values of the Pro - People Force, UPDF.

The trainees acquired fresh skills in VVIP protection, skill at arms, physical combat drills, self defence, political education, radio communication, and financial literacy, among others.
