The government has announced that Thursday, May 13 will be a public holiday to mark Eid-el-Fitr, a day observed by Muslims to end the month of Ramadhan.

"The Honourable Minister of Public Service informs the general public that Thursday 13th May 2021 is Eid-el- Fitr and will be observed as a public holiday throughout Uganda,” the statement from the Ministry of Public Service reads.
