Pius Bigirimana has been transferred from the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development to the Judiciary, the Nile Post has learnt.
In a letter from the head of Public Service John Mitala, the new transfers take immediate effect.
“The appointing authority has directed that you be transferred from the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development to the judiciary as the secretary to the judiciary with immediate effect,” Mitala’s letter dated July 26 reads in part.
“On receipt of this letter, prepare to hand over your office with the existing regulations and report to your new station.
Kivumbi on forced leave
In another correspondence, Kagole Kivumbi who has been the Judiciary Permanent Secretary has written to the Commissioner in charge of Human Resource Management informing him of the developments that have seen him sent for forced leave.
“I am writing to inform you that the appointing authority has directed that I proceed on leave from today July 26 2019,”Kagole wrote in a letter dated July 26.
“Consequently I am asking you with the responsibility of preparing the draft of my handover notes to the incoming Permanent Secretary.”
The developments come on the backdrop of accountability issues against Kagole Kivumbi.
The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for parliament recently handed Kivumbi over to Police CIID for further investigations over diversion of Shs34 billion.
He is accused of mismanaging the funds for the year ended 2017/18.
