A nationwide talent search that began with dozens of aspiring presenters has ended with Lukas Blacc emerging victorious, underscoring the growing pool of young, dynamic radio talent shaping the future of Uganda’s broadcast industry.

The journey to find Uganda’s next radio star has officially wrapped up, with Lukas Blacc crowned winner of #TheNextBigVoice, a talent search by Next Media aimed at discovering fresh on-air talent.

The campaign kicked off with over 60 entries submitted online, later narrowing down to 62 contestants who turned up for physical auditions at the Next Creatives Hub at Next Media Park.

From there, the competition was trimmed to the Top 10 finalists, who underwent training sessions, live studio experiences, and an intensive boot camp to sharpen their radio skills.

By the time of the grand finale, the competition had boiled down to four finalists — Lukas Blacc, Hannah Arinaitwe, Atim Jane Nyirata, and Cophi Samuels — all battling for the top spot.
