The Bell ObaFest Regional Tour’s second stop lit up Masaka on Saturday, as Uganda’s biggest beer festival delivered a flavor-packed experience to hundreds of enthusiastic partygoers at Chomaz Lounge, celebrating local taste, music, and artistry.
Upon arrival, revelers were greeted with an exclusive offer on the new Bell Citrus and Bell Honey, which also served as their ticket for entry. The irresistible aroma of roasting nyama choma filled the air, setting the perfect tone for a night dedicated to flavor exploration and authentic Masaka celebration.
The event was skillfully hosted by MC Marvin Solo, who warmed up the crowd before an energetic opening DJ set from the duo Mel Pro and Bratta.
But the loudest cheers of the night were reserved for Masaka’s very own Suuna Ben, the city’s beloved mixing maestro. As he took the stage, fans erupted with excitement—waving tree branches and showering him with appreciation as he launched into his signature “Kinyanya Nyanya” session. The connection between the hometown star and his audience was undeniable, turning the venue into a vibrant celebration of Masaka pride.
The excitement soared higher when the opening notes of Nandor Love’s hit “Kinawolovu” filled the lounge. The rising star captivated the crowd with her powerful stage presence and soulful delivery, performing fan favorites like “Mpologoma” and “Gukuba.” Her performance cemented the Masaka leg of ObaFest as a testament to Uganda’s thriving music scene.
Herbert Ndugga, Sales Manager for Bell, expressed his delight at the success of the Masaka stop, noting:
“The energy at Chomaz was simply phenomenal! This year, we’re focused on taking the party across Uganda to ensure everyone can find their flavor with ObaFest—and Masaka embraced it with incredible passion. This electric atmosphere is what we mean when we say Bell is the official beer of enjoyments.”
As the cool night settled over Masaka, the energy inside Chomaz Lounge never faded. DJ Woodgates kept the ecstatic crowd dancing late into the night, closing the event on a high note.
The Chomaz Lounge celebration capped off a week of engaging Bell ObaFest spot activations across Masaka, building anticipation and offering the wider community a flavorful preview of the festival experience.
The Bell ObaFest Regional Tour now heads to Arua for its next major stop at Capital One Lounge on November 8, before culminating in the Grand Finale on November 15 at the Millennium Grounds, Lugogo – Kampala.
