This year’s beauty pageant for the International University of East Africa (IUEA) is set for Friday, November, 1.
According to the university, this year’s Mr. and Miss IUEA beauty pageant will be held under the theme, “Empowered and Elegant” at the university’s auditorium.
“In true IUEA fashion, the university is pulling out all the stops to give young talents a platform to shine while championing causes that inspire meaningful change in our society,” the university said in a statement on Wednesday.
Officials said the event will include mesmerizing talent showcases, electrifying cultural performances, and fashions displays that will climax with the crowning of Mr. and Miss IUEA.
“Expect an exhilarating night as our contestants showcase their skills in various categories. This will be no ordinary beauty pageant – it’s a celebration of talent, cultural richness, and the spirit of change.”
The university said in addition to receiving the title, the winners of Mr. and Miss IUEA will be entrusted with the prestigious role of brand ambassadors, representing the university across various platforms.
They will also serve as the faces of IUEA, showcasing the university's values of empowerment, leadership, and cultural diversity.
Michael Junior Musimenta from Uganda and Ililta Nezerab Masalab from Eritrea were crowned the 2023 Mr and Miss IUEA respectively.
