Multichoice Uganda prepares for new European football season

MultiChoice Uganda has  announced, the start of the new football season which will

kick-off with a highly anticipated derby match between Manchester City and

Manchester United, in the FA Charity Shield  later today .

Announcing the new season at Kalerwe Market in Kampala, Rinaldi Jamugisa, PR and

Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, said, the match, which pits the

winners of the Premier League against the winners of the FA Cup will mark the

beginning of what promises to be a more exciting football season.

Football fans in Uganda and across Africa, can expect a jam-packed menu of football

action, spanning from league competitions to all the UEFA European cup games.

“DStv and GOtv viewers can look forward to rekindling their longstanding relationships with

the Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A. On European nights, they will be treated to

thrilling action from the Champions League, Europa League, and UEFA Conference

League which is set to ensure a season full of excitement and top-tier football,” Jamugisa said.

He  encouraged viewers to prepare for a rollercoaster of great football that will be

airing on SuperSport.

“At MultiChoice, we believe in football’s ability to unite people, which is why we treat this time of the year as a celebration of this unity. This year, the football season promises to be the best yet, just from the transfer activity we have witnessed in the preseason alone,” he said.

He urged customers to prepare for the new season by  renewing their subscription early enough and not wait for the d-day.

Jamugisa further emphasized the company’s commitment to easing viewers' access to content by making the process more convenient.

We are empowering our customers to enjoy the convenience of the experience of subscribing to DStv and GOtv."

The new football season will run from August 2024 to June 2025.
