Four Arrested for Defrauding Prophet in Fake State House Scam
Police have arrested four men who allegedly tried to trick Prophet David Isanga of the Universal Apostolic Church of Righteousness into handing over Shs 20 million, claiming they were working on behalf of State House.

In what might be one of the boldest scams of the year, four men have been arrested for allegedly trying to defraud Prophet David Isanga of the Universal Apostolic Church of Righteousness in Jinja—yes, a prophet, someone who, at least in theory, can see things before they happen.

The suspects—Moses Isiko, Kintu Aggrey, and Nuwagira Harman—are in police custody, while Werage Moses remains under investigation.

According to police, the group approached Prophet Isanga around March 2025, claiming he was under investigation for dealings in fake dollars.

They reportedly demanded Shs20 million, promising to “clear his name” and prevent any action against him.

Authorities confirmed that the suspects have no connection to State House, describing their plan as a “calculated fraud scheme”—and perhaps a questionable test of divine patience.

Investigators are now working to recover the money and identify other potential victims. One can only wonder: if you’re going to try scamming someone, maybe pick a banker or a bureaucrat—not a prophet who might already know it’s coming.
