Old Mutual Life Assurance has recognised its top-performing sales agents and managers at the 2025 Agency Awards held at Mestil Hotel in Kampala, celebrating excellence, resilience and contribution to business growth.
The annual event brought together the company’s sales force and leadership, with winners receiving a range of rewards including international travel experiences, household items and cash incentives.
In a departure from previous editions, the 2025 awards did not feature a grand prize vehicle. Instead, the overall top-performing agent was awarded a cash prize of Shs 6 million, reflecting a shift in the company’s reward structure.
Speaking at the ceremony, Managing Director Patrick Kinoti Kimathi commended the agents for their role in driving the company’s performance.
“Tonight, we celebrate the passion, resilience and commitment of our extraordinary sales force. Each of you plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of Old Mutual Life Assurance, and your dedication does not go unnoticed,” he said.
He added that the company remains committed to strengthening its agency network to sustain growth and deliver value to customers.
“We will continue investing in our people to ensure they are equipped to meet customer needs and contribute to the long-term success of the business,” he noted.
The awards recognised both new and experienced agents across categories including the Journey to the Industry Award, Fly to Zanzibar and Fly to Türkiye.
Norah Nakaweesi emerged as the best new agent under the Journey to the Industry Award, while Rashid Kizito and Grace Nakitende were recognised among the top-performing experienced agents.

In the Fly to Türkiye category, top performers included Norah Natumanya, Ruth Tumwijukye, Philip Kasule and Rashid Kizito, alongside new agents Sylvia Brenda Birungi and Nelson Balikoowa. Unit Managers Evelyn Naava and Sophie Luzinda were also recognised.
In the Fly to Zanzibar category, seasoned agents such as Esther Elizabeth Wanyana, Rehema Nambooze and Justine Namugosa were among the winners.

Steven Lubowa, Head of Marketing and Distribution, praised the collective effort behind the company’s success.
“We applaud our teams for their excellent performance over the past year. Their resilience, teamwork and commitment to delivering value to customers across all touchpoints has been truly commendable,” he said.
The Agency Awards remain a key platform for motivating the sales force and reinforcing Old Mutual’s culture of recognising excellence. The ceremony concluded with a renewed sense of motivation among agents as they look ahead to the year.
