Seasoned financial professional, Kate Kiiza has been appointed executive director at dfcu Bank effective August 7, 2023.
Kiiza's appointment was announced in a statement by the committee secretary, Angelina Namakula.
Prior to her latest appointment, Kiiza, has been serving as the bank’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the last eight years.
Commenting on Kiiza’s appointment, the dfcu board chairperson Dr. Winfred Tarinyeba said, “The board is pleased to have a seasoned financial professional and dedicated female leader step into this role.”
Who is Kate Kiiza, the newly appointed dfcu executive director?
Kiiza's career spans over 25 years’ experience in finance, management, and business leadership within the financial services industry and downstream oil marketing.
Before joining dfcu, she served as CFO at United Bank of Africa, Shell Uganda Limited (now Vivo Energy Uganda).
She also possesses expertise in stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Kiiza, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (FACCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Makerere University.
