President Museveni, accompanied by First Lady Janet Museveni, addressed a rally in Bushenyi today, urging Ugandans to value peace and support the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Speaking at the event, Museveni referenced the suffering caused by conflict in Sudan, where a local leader, Bassajabalaba, lost a friend and four daughters to rebels.

“Sudan was torn by religious divisions, and the suffering is immense. This is why we must treasure peace,” he said, adding that Uganda once faced similar dangers but the NRM restored stability.
