Leaders of road cleaners and waste management workers in Kawempe Division have pledged their support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s re-election campaign, while appealing for financial assistance to sustain their livelihoods.

The group, led by Faluck Bulime—who is also contesting for Kawempe Division Mayor—gathered at the division offices before mobilizing for National Resistance Movement (NRM) campaign activities at Kololo.

The delegation included ordinary waste management staff, road cleaners, youth, and other community members, who paraded through the streets with banners and motorcycles to show their commitment.

“We are determined to participate in campaign activities as observers and to support our leader in every way possible,” Bulime said.

“We also urge the President to fulfill the promises he has made regarding financial support for our work and livelihoods.”

The group called on Ugandans to vote for Museveni, citing his leadership as a source of development and stability for their communities.

They further urged supporters to ensure that the elections are peaceful and transparent.

“Our people need jobs, stability, and development. We are ready to work under the President’s guidance and ensure the elections are conducted in an orderly manner,” Bulime added.
