The Common Man’s Party (CMP) parliamentary aspirant for Kawempe South, Ssekanjako Dafala, has reaffirmed his commitment to transformative leadership, emphasizing infrastructure development, improved urban planning, and practical solutions to persistent sanitation and transport challenges if elected on 15 January 2026.

Speaking during the Kawempe South Parliamentary Debate hosted by NBS Television on Sunday, Ssekanjako presented himself as a people-centered leader guided by a clear mandate from the electorate.

“I am the chosen representative of Kawempe, as decided by the people. I have also chosen to serve Kawempe, even without a salary,” he said, underscoring his dedication and accountability.

During the debate, Ssekanjako highlighted the urgent need for planned urban development to address daily hardships faced by residents, particularly poor road networks, inadequate drainage systems, and ineffective waste management.

He emphasized that Kawempe South requires leaders who understand the lived realities of its people and are prepared to push for realistic, community-informed solutions in Parliament.

Ssekanjako stated that his legislative agenda will prioritize advocacy for improved infrastructure, including better roads to ease transportation, organized urban layouts to reduce congestion, and strengthened sanitation systems to enhance public health and environmental safety.

“Our people deserve dignity, accessibility, and a clean environment. These are not privileges but basic necessities that leadership must deliver,” he said.
