Musician Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, has called on Ugandans to vote for capable and educated leaders in the upcoming 2026 general elections, regardless of their political affiliations.
Bebe Cool said voters should prioritise integrity and competence over popularity and party loyalty. He criticised sections of the opposition for fielding what he described as “weak candidates” seeking to replace experienced legislators.
“I call upon all voters to choose capable leaders, regardless of their political parties,” Bebe Cool said. “We should vote for leaders who can do their legislative work, not those interested in showmanship.”
The singer also expressed disappointment at what he termed declining standards in political leadership, saying some aspirants lack education and integrity. He urged young people to embrace responsible leadership built on merit and service.
Bebe Cool, a known supporter of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), said his message is intended to promote quality leadership across all political divides.
