Busiro North parliamentary candidate Dr. Swaib Kaggwa Nsereko has kicked off his 2026 election campaign in Wakiso District with a pledge to improve community livelihoods and tackle persistent service delivery challenges.
Dr. Kaggwa, who is running on the JEEMA party ticket, began his mobilisation efforts in Kyengeza Parish, Masulita Sub-county, where he has been involved in community activities including promoting fruit tree planting to boost household incomes.
He urged residents to vote for him on 15 January 2026, saying Busiro North needs a strong voice in Parliament to push for better development outcomes.
During the campaign launch, the candidate praised women for their role in sustaining families and national growth, promising to advocate for increased government support to women-led initiatives if elected.
He also called on men to contribute to household development by supporting their wives financially.
Residents raised concerns over a lack of clean water and delayed electricity access, noting that power lines run over their homes without actual connections.
They asked Dr. Kaggwa to prioritise basic services once in office.
The candidate later addressed supporters at a rally in Segange, also in Masulita Sub-county, where he continued to outline his plans for the constituency.
