NRM incumbents continue falling as Kibuku’s Kadyama is trounced by new comer
Voters await announcement of the winner in the KIbuku race.

The long-awaited results for the NRM LC V party flag bearer elections in Kibuku have finally been released.

The NRM District Registrar Ms.Perusi Nakamya had withheld the results from Goli Goli Sub County on grounds that her office had received reports that the DR forms had been grabbed from the electoral officials and subjected to manipulation.

However, after thorough scrutiny, Hon John Arimpa Kigyagi the deputy NRM chairman electoral commission declared Nakeba Mohammad a winner of the flag.

Nakeba polled 31,660 votes representing 52% against 29,105 votes representing 48% of the incumbent Kadyama Charles.

According to Kigyagi, his announcement cancels the earlier declaration that the incumbent had won.

This pronouncement was ushered in by merrymaking by hundreds of the residents who had braved the scorching sunshine.

"I am sure this announcement will not spark controversy in the district as Kibuku is NRM's stronghold, and anybody not satisfied with this outcome should write to us within the next five working days"

Welcoming his delayed victory, Nakeba called for harmony for the good of the districts.
