The 6th Edition of the NBS Housing Baraza has launched with an ambitious agenda to address Uganda’s housing challenges. Under the theme “A Home for Everyone,” the Baraza focuses on creating sustainable and affordable housing solutions through partnerships with Housing Finance Bank, Plascon, Soliton Telmec, National Housing, and Roofings Limited.
Eugene Kavuuma, Head of Special Projects at Next Media, stressed the importance of timely discussions:
"With Uganda’s rapid urbanization expected by 2050, it’s crucial to address housing now. Housing impacts not just social standing but economic stability as well."
This year’s Baraza stands apart with its focus on public-private partnerships and eco-friendly housing. Key partner Housing Finance Bank reaffirmed its purpose:
"As the leading housing finance institution, our goal is to ensure every Ugandan has access to housing,” said Doreen Nyiramugisha, Head of Marketing, at Housing Finance Bank.
