Police officer on the run after allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl

Police in Kasese is investigating circumstances under which a 12 year old girl was defiled by a police officer at Kasese Police barracks in Kasese municipality.

The Criminal Investigation Detective only identified as Okalango is alleged to have defiled the minor.

The primary one girl is said to have lived with her uncle in the same barracks where she was defiled.

This uncle CID officer Okalango has reportedly gone on the run after the incident was discovered on Monday, January 7, 2019.

The Regional Police Commander Kasese Mwesigye Innocent confirmed that the case was reported and that if the accused is found guilty he will face the wrath of the law in the same way like any other criminal.

The director of Rock Primary School where the minor studies, Jane Kamashamba Francis condemned the act and appealed to all human rights agencies, the police and all stakeholders to support the child to get justice.
