Jinja Nursing school enters partnership with China's Shenyang Medical University
In a landmark moment for Uganda's healthcare and education sectors, the Busoga Consortium has secured a groundbreaking medical partnership between Shenyang Medical University in China and Jinja School of Nursing in Jinja City, Uganda.
This cooperation agreement was signed by Director General of the Busoga Consortium, Mr. Mula Anthony, on behalf of the Government of Uganda and the Busoga Region.

"The cooperation focuses on fostering development and growth in Uganda's healthcare sector, leveraging China's expertise and state-of-the-art medical facilities," said Mr. Mula Anthony.
This partnership is expected to serve as a blueprint for future collaborations in other sectors, cementing Busoga's position as a beacon of progress and innovation.
Professor Wu Yudong, president of Shenyang Medical University, welcomed Mr. Mula Anthony and his delegation, leading the signing ceremony at the university in China.
"This strategic partnership will establish a strong foundation for exchange programs, equipping medical students from Busoga Region and across Uganda with world-class skills and training opportunities," Professor Wu Yudong emphasized.
The partnership is particularly significant, given the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"This agreement marks a significant step towards enhancing the healthcare capabilities of Uganda through collaboration with one of China's most advanced medical institutions," Mr. Mula Anthony noted.
This groundbreaking partnership is set to transform Uganda's healthcare landscape, fostering growth, development, and innovation in the sector.
