Police in Bushenyi are hunting for a boda boda rider who killed his colleague for allegedly laughing at his old motorcycle.
The incident happened at Omukasusano trading centre ,Kitagata parish in Kyeizoobasubcounty in Bushenyi district when 25 year old Nathan Byakureka who was in the trading centre laughed at the motorcycle for his colleague, Felix Twebaze.
“When he met Twebaze in the trading centre, he asked him why he rides an old motorcycle which angered Twebaze and slapped Byakureka twice on the head, before hitting him with a brick as he attempted to run away,” Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said.
He said the 25 year old later succumbed to injuries while the suspect went and hid himself .
“Twebaze Felix is on the run but we shall track him down and have him arrested. These are casual incidents that are usually avoidable and don’t require going to the extent of murdering a person.”
