The upcoming match is the second leg of the home-and-away knockout stage, with the winning team advancing to the group stage of the tournament. In their previous encounter in Mbale, Karamoja narrowly lost to Bugisu, finishing with a 1-2 scoreline.

Despite the initial defeat, Karamoja is determined to make a strong comeback on their home ground. Dr. Charles Omudu, Vice Chairperson of Karamoja Province, expressed confidence in the team's ability to overturn the previous result.

"We believe we can change the outcome in this second leg. Our players are motivated and have been working hard to correct the mistakes from the last game," Omudu said.

Sylvester Lotieng, CEO of Karamoja Province Football Club, highlighted the team’s intensive training regimen aimed at improving their performance and addressing the challenges faced in their first match against Bugisu.

"The team has been training intensively to address the gaps that led to our loss in Bugisu," Lotieng noted.

"Our focus is on refining our strategy and boosting our performance. Playing at home is a big advantage, and with the support of our fans, we are confident we can secure a victory."

The match is expected to attract a large crowd of Karamoja supporters, eager to rally behind their team.

With home advantage and a renewed sense of determination, Karamoja Province is set on seizing this opportunity to progress further in the tournament.
