Gen. Muhoozi warns soldiers on investment

The Chief of Defence Forces in the UPDF, Gen.David Muhoozi has asked soldiers to be cautious while investing in business ventures.

Speaking while delivering a lecture on ideology to UPDF soldiers under battle group 20 who have just returned from Somalia while at the Peace Support Operations Training Centre in Singo, Nakaseke district, Gen. Muhoozi told the fighters to make wise decisions in regards to investment so as to avoid regrets in the future.

“Use the financial literacy acquired during the ideological course to invest in profitable and sustainable business avenues to improve your welfare. Don’t hurriedly make uninformed decisions,” the CDF warned.

The group were who were undergoing a two week ideological course received lectures in post mission counselling and guidance, financial literacy, history of Uganda, pan Africanism and regional integration among other topics.

Gne.Muhoozi warned soldiers against investing in luxuries so as to avoid wasting their hard earned money which he said would perish in a small period of time.

Muhoozi commended the fighters for the commendable job, brevity and discipline while in Somalia under AMISOM which he said has attracted many other forces to admire the Ugandan army.

He re-affirmed his commitment to improve the soldiers’ welfare despite the challenges.

Battle group 20 commander Col.Bernard Arinaitwe emerged the best in command and control whereas his deputy, Lt.Col. Alex Bahenyangi Namara was rewarded for being obedient and punctual.
