The police has put up a reward of Shs 20 million to whoever identifies the man in the photograph (below).

The unidentified man was caught on camera by one of the business people in town when he had gone to extort money.

Police believes he is a member of a criminal gang  that calls itself ‘’The people’s agency’’ that sends letters to business people demanding for money in dollars. They reportedly demand between $30,000 and $45,000.

The police deputy spokesperson Patrick Onyango told the Nile Post today that the man was caught on camera when he went to one of the businesses in Kampala to ask whether they had received the letter the gang had sent and why they had taken long without responding to their demands.

"This man is believed to be the leader of the criminal gang circulating threatening messages to the business community. Luckily enough, there is a courageous business man who took this photo and whoever knows him should share with the police," Onyango said.
