Jennifer Musisi: "Resigning is normal thing so why make it fuss?"

The Executive Director Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Jennifer Musisi has spoken out on her resignation saying what she did is normal.

Addressing journalists at her office yesterday, Musisi said: "It’s a normal thing for people to resign for all sorts of reasons. There are some countries where people resign almost every week. There is nothing to worry."

Musisi  signed a new partnership with the World Food Program that is aimed at making Kampala, and the country at large, a zero hunger area.

On October 15th, 2018, Musisi announced her resignation after seven years at the helm of KCCA citing a number of reasons including the long standing stand off between the political and technical wings at City Hall.

Musisi said she believes she has laid a strong foundation for KCCA that even when she leaves office, the organisation can stand on its own.

‘’KCCA is an institution that we’ve built on very strong foundation for seven years now and with proper coordination and support, KCCA is here to stay for a very long time. People come and go but KCCA will stay,’’ she said.
