"NRM members in Kawempe North are over 20,000 which is a good start for me as a candidate if all they all turn up and vote on April, 13, " Nambi said.

Nambi who was accompanied by the NRM deputy National Treasurer, Hon. Jacqueline Kyatuhaire and the Party’s director for Mobilisation Hon. Rosemary Seninde, cautioned voters against self-seekers who are in the race to confuse voters.

"Please don't pay attention to self-seekers whose aim is distraction. NRM has only one candidate (Nambi)," she said, urging them to unite for the good of the party.

The NRM Deputy National Treasurer  Jacqueline Kyatuhaire said that as a party in power, they hope to cooperate with Nambi in the implementation of her promises to uplift the social well-being of the communities of Kawempe.

"NRM is one. We are united, strong, and determined to achieve all our plans. All we require is your support," Kyatuhaire said.

She reiterated the call to all party members to embark on door to door campaigns until the NRM gospel sinks into the electorates.

"Let us unite. Let us work together for the benefit and development of our people in the Division," Seninde said.

"Like we have done in previous by-elections, I am hopeful for a clear win," Seninde said because " Ugandans are no longer gullible to opposition lies."
