The event celebrated creativity, teamwork, and storytelling, placing the spotlight firmly on students who are boldly stepping into Uganda’s growing film industry.
Produced under NJOVU Studios Africa, Legends explores the dynamic world of elite academia, unpacking themes of social hierarchy, rivalry, and ambition through well-developed characters and compelling narrative choices.
The film reflects a remarkable level of skill and narrative maturity, signaling a promising future for Uganda’s next generation of filmmakers.
Designed to mirror the youthful energy and promise of the film, the watch party attracted a vibrant student audience, with free entry ensuring inclusivity and broad participation.
The atmosphere was festive and engaging, enhanced by interactive entertainment moments such as the “Sip and Play” segment, sponsored by Fanta and SUMS.
Beyond acting, the initiative showcased the wide range of skills involved in filmmaking. Students actively participated in production, coordination, and event management, offering a holistic view of the creative process and highlighting the importance of behind-the-scenes roles in the industry.
As part of its mission to amplify young voices, NBS Plus extended the reach of the event beyond Next Media Park by broadcasting the watch party nationally via AfroMobile.
