The forum is scheduled for March 19, 2026, and will bring together global leaders, artists and innovators to discuss sustainable development, climate action, environmental conservation and inclusive growth.
Cindy’s participation was confirmed through an official congratulatory poster shared online under the Project 100 (UNP100) initiative, a global platform that promotes peace, sustainability and youth-led solutions to global challenges.
“Congratulations Cindy Sanyu for being selected to represent Uganda at the Sustainable Future Forum at the United Nations Conference Centre Bangkok,” reads the designed message.
Reacting to the announcement, Cindy expressed her excitement and gratitude for the recognition.
“It’s a happy new year here at Starmaker Ent. Such an honour,” she wrote.
Cindy, one of Uganda’s most celebrated female artistes, is known not only for her music career spanning more than two decades but also for her advocacy on social and youth issues.
She previously served as the president of the Uganda Musicians Association, where she championed musicians’ rights and industry reforms.
The Sustainable Future Forum aims to create a platform for dialogue and collaboration among influential voices from different sectors, using art, innovation and policy discussions to inspire practical solutions to global challenges.
Cindy’s selection places her among a growing number of African artists using their influence beyond entertainment to engage in international conversations on sustainability and global development.
